Travel to Russia with a simple electronic visa

Citizens of 64 foreign countries can apply for a Russian unified electronic visa online. The e-visa is suitable for tourism, private visits, business trips, and participation in cultural, scientific, economic or sporting events. No invitation letter, hotel booking confirmation or visit to a Russian consulate is required.

Who can apply?

Russia e-visa is available for citizens of the following countries:

Europe:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Vatican, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia.

Asia & Middle East:
Bahrain, Bhutan, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Iran, Cambodia, China including Taiwan, North Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Myanmar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Philippines, Japan.

Other countries:
Barbados, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Eswatini.

How long does it take?

The Russian e-visa is usually issued within up to 4 calendar days, including weekends and public holidays. The application can be submitted online through the official system of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

How long is it valid?

The unified Russian e-visa is a single-entry visa. It is valid for 120 days from the date of issue. During this validity period, the traveler may enter Russia once.

How long can you stay in Russia?

The permitted stay in Russia is up to 30 days from the date of entry. The day of arrival and the day of departure are counted as two separate days, so the trip dates must be planned carefully.

When should you apply?

The application may be submitted no earlier than 86 days and no later than 4 days before the planned date of entry into Russia.
